I worked across all publications at Dotdash Meredith as a contributing writer and editor during my tenure at the company. I covered red carpets and internal events to further my work amplifying the voices of Black people and people of color. This role stemmed from work previously serving as the lead of the editorial team and a planning committee member at :BLACKPRINT, the Black Employee Affinity Group at Dotdash Meredith. As a member of the team, I helped connect, empower, and celebrate the notable contributions of Black people in the world of media and entertainment—and for the culture.

 

• Collaborated with executive editors across Dotdash Meredith brands, including PEOPLE, InStyle, and more, to pitch, curate, and write content highlighting Black thought leaders and Hollywood’s leading talent following exclusive :BLACKPRINT events 

• Assisted with event planning, including interviews with politicians, activists, and creatives to engage employees of the company and the media industry at large

• Wrote and edited stories on behalf of all Dotdash Meredith brands, which featured celebrities discussing upcoming projects, the current state of America, and more

• Created :BLACKPRINT "daily bread" media posts with resources and current events to serve the Black community within Dotdash Meredith

• Worked with :BLACKPRINT’s network of writers for coverage in Dotdash Meredith publications
