From 2013-2017, I served as a student-journalist at the William Allen White School of Journalism. During my time at the J-School in Stauffer-Flint Hall, I had the pleasure of working for campus publications by writing, editing, and designing content and contributing to photography to engage readers. The story provided information surrounding Black History Month at KU and its perception from the African Students Association (ASA). ASA members also explained how the organization celebrates African culture and cultural diversity on the KU campus.

Story regarding the recent case of tuberculosis and the statements by Watkins Health Center Chief of Staff, Dr. Dechairo. The informative brief provided context of the illness and the precautions to take by the KU community.

Lunar New Year
 

The Lunar New Year story referred to several KU students and faculty of Asian cultural backgrounds to gain their perspectives about the predominantly Chinese tradition. The story highlighted the Lunar New Year Day and its celebrations.
